Mario has received teaching training in the Netherlands at Codarts, Conservatory of the Arts; in England, he took part of the LSO Discovery program. In 2018, he was double bass professor at The Nucleo Project in London, a project based on the musical system of Venezuela, assisting groups of kids between 7 and 14 years old. During the summer of 2019, Mario was part of the ‘Curso Internacional de Contrabajo’ celebrated in Mexico, as assistant of Rinat Ibragimov, Principal Double Bass of the London Symphony Orchestra, organized by the ‘Instituto Nacional De Bellas Artes y Literatura.

Currently, Mario Torres is the double bass teacher at the Orquesta de Cuerdas de San Agustín, Oaxaca, Mexico as well as private Double bass professor, teaching online to students in Mexico and being supported by the platform Muziekonderwijs.nl, in the Netherlands.
